Weekend Wedding Celebration Rates

You can reserve exclusive use of our 15-acre property for up to 48 hours for a fee of $3394.* This gives you access to the grounds, wedding glade, fire pit, organic gardens, dining hall, meeting space, use of kitchen for non-reception meals, and accommodations for up to 35 people. As many as 30 additional overnight guests can be added for a fee of $39/person/24 hour period.

* Massachusetts Room Occupancy Tax of 5.7% will be calculated on the accommodations portion of your bill.

The Massachusetts and local sales tax of 7% on meals will be added to your final meals bill.

4 B If you are providing your own meals and snacks, your group is responsible for cleaning after each meal/snack, and for bringing your own paper towels and napkins, coffee, tea, sugar, oil, tin foil and plastic wrap in addition to your food.

Friendly Crossways provides coffee maker, coffee filters, some spices, commercial dishwasher, at least one refrigerator, two stoves, a fully equipped kitchen and place settings and silverware for 70.

4.C Harvard is a dry town, but you can have beer, wine and champagne here (no hard liquor) if you purchase an on-line wedding insurance policy or name us as additional insured on your (or your parents') home owners' insurance policy. Outside caterers also need to have appropriate insurance coverage.

If you will be providing beer, wine, or champagne to your guests, you must purchase a rider to your home insurance or a stand-alone policy such as the WedSafe Wedding liability and property damage insurance policy, naming Keith and Mary Turner, dba Friendly Crossways, as additional insured. If you are using an outside caterer, that caterer must include Keith Turner and Mary Turner on their insurance policy for this event.

Due to our limited trash and recycling storage facilities, outside caterers are responsible for removing trash related to the reception meal. We prefer that the caterer, drinks vendor, or someone from the wedding party will be responsible for returning/recycling empty bottles. If this is not possible, a $75 recycling/trash removal service fee will be added to the final bill. (I have read this _______initial here).

5. Fire Place or Fire Pit: We have a FABULOUS fire pit. We will supply wood for the pit (or the fire place in the winter) at the rate of $20/night for the Pit and $25/day for the Fire Place. 6. Registration Deposits:

a.) Along with this form, send in a $1500 registration fee toward the estimated facilities usage fee (accommodations AND meeting space fees).

b) The second payment of $1500 is due 90 days before the start of the event. ____________ (initial here)

b.) Within three months before the event, send in the damage/cleaning deposit of $200. If there is damage or the facility was not cleaned per agreement. we will deduct an appropriate amount and send you the balance along with an explanation of expenses. Otherwise this check will not be deposited nor will it be returned to the sender. If you wish to have it returned (14 days after the event) please include a self-addressed envelope along with the registration form and deposit.

The celebration is within three months: a damage deposit of $200 is attached to this registration form ____________ (initial here) OR will be provided within three months of the event ____________ (initial here).

7. Reception Deposit: 50% of the estimated reception meal fee is due upon signing the meals contract. The remainder is due 61 days before the start of the celebration weekend. ____________ (initial here)

8. Cancellation Policy:

a) If you have to cancel and can notify us 90 days or more before the start of the wedding weekend event, your registration fee and reception meal deposit will be returned LESS $750.

b) Cancellations made 89 days or less before the event will mean forfeiture of both the facilities and meal deposits.

c) If you cancel within 5 days of the event you will be charged for any nonreception meals you have contracted with us.

9. Billing: the Balance of the total bill will be paid at the end of the event.

VERY IMPORTANT: Please call with a count of participants FIVE BUSINESS DAYS before your event date. This count will be the minimum number used for the nonreception Meal portion of your billing if we are cooking for you. This number will also be used as the basis for the Lodging/Conference Room portion of the bill whether or not everyone shows up.
