Chef-owner Mary Helan grew up at Friendly Crossways and loves to cook, having learned from her mom, who was, among many things, a fabulous cook and hostess. Mary Helan incorporates the fresh fruit, herbs and vegetables which she hand-picks from her own organic gardens and orchards as an expression of that love.
Mary Helan is partnering with chef Nick Chunias. Together they have designed a reception dinner menu that features many of Mary Helan’s original vegetarian, vegan and omnivore recipes featuring locally sourced produce, as well as some of Nick’s fresh Mediterranean specialties. Bonus: because Nick has his own catering company (Juliana’s Catering) we can bring expanded catering choices to Friendly Crossways, including lobster bakes, pig roasts, carving stations and a mobile pizza oven. If your wedding vision is for a champagne brunch rather than an evening celebration, we can take care of that as well (think of made-to-order omelet stations)!
